The paper deals with a numerical method for solving initial-boundary value problems for systems of hyperbolic equations with four independent variables on an unstructured grid. The proposed differencing is based on a predictor-corrector-type procedure. The resulting scheme is second-order accurate and is equivalent to the well-known MacCormack scheme when implemented on a structured grid.
