The authors develop new efficient mathematical models, namely systems of quasi-gasdynamic and quasi-hydrodynamic equations. A phenomenological interpretation of these systems is discussed, and their relation to Navier-Stokes equations is investigated. The results of numerical simulations of some compressible and incompressible flows are compared with those based on other mathematical models.
