The paper deals with a solution for the multi-objective design problem based on evolution strategy and the game theory approach. The results obtained for two different case studies of composite laminated structures, a simply supported plate subjected to thermal loading and a cantilever plate subjected to a more complicated loading condition at the free edge, show the notable efficiency of the method. The essential contribution can be provided by the multi-objective optimisation by evolution strategy coupled with game theory, to achieve better global design and quality. The results have been also compared with those obtained by other methods to be coupled, with evolution strategy and with a single objective optimisation, confirming how the proposed approach may open a new and deeper insight in the field of composite structures design optimisation.
