The author investigates the exact controllability for systems governed by linear parabolic equations and proves that the solution of an associated optimal control problem converges to the solution of the exact controllability problem. The numerical solution of the exact controllability problem has been obtained by solving the optimal control problem numerically. Numerical experiments are given.
