The author considers a Stefan problem with a forcing term and provides stability results with respect to the free boundary parameter, both for the analytical and the numerical solution. He proposes a parameter estimation technique and presents an approximation scheme (cubic Hermite spline scheme). Some numerical simulations are performed.
