For a convex body \(K\), denote by \(t(K)\) the largest number for which there exists a finite packing of translates of \(K\) in which each translate has at least \(t(K)\) neighbours. In the paper under review, the author finds \(t(K)\) for \(K\) being a convex disc of the 3-dimensional convex cylinder. The cardinalities of extremal packings are discussed as well.
