Tian's \(\alpha_{G}(M)\)-invariant on \(\mathbb{C} P^{2} \sharp 2\mathbb{C} P^{2}\) is computed, improving a result of \textit{A. Ben Abdesselem} [J. Funct. Anal. 149, 102--134 (1997; Zbl 0889.53028)]. By studying a certain complex Monge-Ampere equation, a good estimate of Ricci curvature on \(\mathbb{C} P^{2} \sharp 2\mathbb{C} P^{2}\) is obtained as a consequence.
