On hypercomplex dynamics (Q1860557)

The author studies higher-dimensional generalizations of quadratic mappings of the complex plane. He considers the quadratic mapping \(w \mapsto w^2 + q\) restricted onto the three-dimensional subspace of the quaternions generated over the real field by \(1\), \(i\), and \(j\). He demonstrates some similarities with the complex dynamics and exposes numerical calculations of the set of repelling points.
