The author gives an explicit algorithm to compute a canonical homology basis and a basis of holomorphic \(1\)-forms of the Riemann surface \(x^{m}+y^{n}=1\). This permits the explicit computation of a period matrix of such a surface. The method used is an extension of the one used for the case of real hyperelliptic Riemann surfaces.
