The authors study the pointwise statistical convergence of sequences of real functions. They prove two theorems, one of them states a certain equivalence, which implies that if \(\text{st-lim}f_k(x)= f(x)\) on \(S\), then there exists a subsequence \(\{f_{k_i}(x)\}\) such that \(\lim f_{k_i}(x)= f(x)\) on \(S\).
