The authors consider the following equation \[ \dot x(t)+ \sum^m_{k=1} r_k(t)f_k\biggl[ x\bigl(h_k(t)\bigr) \biggr]=0. \] They revise a linearized oscillation condition and improve linearized nonoscillation conditions obtained before by several authors. The authors apply their results to equations of mathematical biology.
