This work represents a contribution to two problems in economics. The author examines the Rochet-Choné problem (the economic model, the state of the art, characterization of demand functions, individual data and macroeconomic data). The fundamental difference with the classical obstacle problem consists in the optimization over the convex functions, not over all the functions that is, on the appropriate new type of finite constraints.
