The author considers the operations mentioned in the title on manifold stratified spaces. Some results are proved that are needed in the proof of the approximate tubular neighbourhood theorem for manifold stratified spaces, see [the author, Ann. Math. (2) 156, 867-889 (2002; Zbl 1030.57034)]. In particular it is proved that the adjunction of two manifold stratified spaces via a stratified approximate fibration is again a manifold stratified space.
