In this paper wave propagation in a cylinder coated with a thin piezoelectric layer is investigated. The author obtains theoretically the decoupled torsion wave velocity and the dispersion curves for the two-mode shell model. Numerical simulations presenting the results of wave propagation in the cylindrical shell are given and they are compared with the theoretical results.
