This paper is devoted to a mathematical model for a multicomponent gas with binary chemical reactions in the framework of the so-called generalized Boltzmann equation. The main results deal with the existence and uniqueness of global in time general solutions to the initial value problem in the whole space. Moreover the authors address to a critical analysis identifying conservable research perspectives.
