Building on the notion of modulus of \(u\)-convexity introduced by \textit{J. Gao} [Function spaces, Diff. Oper., Nonlin. Anal., Paseky 1995, 195-199 (1996; Zbl 0868.46006)], the author gives a sufficient condition for the fixed point property of certain Banach spaces.
