The authors present the results of theoretical investigations of nonstationary problem of initiation and propagation of a combustion wave of suspended drops of liquid hydrocarbon fuel. The numerical results are compared with the experimental results presented in [\textit{J. H. Burgoyne} and \textit{L. Cohen}, Proc. R. Soc. Lond., Ser. A 225, 357--392 (1954)].
