The authors describe a class of depth two foliations in which certain growth conditions allow \(C^1\)-smoothability, but obstruct higher order smoothability. As a result, there exist uncountably many examples of \(C^1\)-foliations that are not homeomorphic to \(C^2\)-foliations, as well as uncountably many \(C^0\)-foliations that are not homeomorphic to \(C^1\)-foliations.
