In Chang's fuzzy topology, the fuzzy subsets are either open or not open. In contrast to this, the gradation of openness is a concept in which the notion of being open is fuzzy, hence a set can be open to some extent. The intuitionistic gradation of openness (IGO) is an ordered pair of a gradation of openness and its dual gradation of nonopenness. Some not very surprising properties of the IGO are shown, mappings between spaces equipped with an IGO are studied, as well as categorial properties and compactness in such spaces.
