A preconditioner for domain decomposition methods with mortar Lagrange multipliers (Q1868956)

For a two-dimensional elliptic boundary value problem, the author investigates the domain decomposition methods with mortar element Lagrange multipliers. This method can be understood as a combination between the mortar element method and the Lagrange multipliers. A new interface preconditioner matrix is proposed and the condition number of this preconditioner is satisfactory, as compared with others preconditioners considered in literature. A special case, the solution of boundary value problem for Poisson's equation, is also discussed
