The author of this article defines a distance function in Post algebras in a way similar to the more specific case of Boolean algebras. He states significant properties of a distance in Post algebras. E.g., he proves that in any Post algebra \((P,+,\cdot,',0,1)\) the unique distance function expressed by a polynomial is \(x+y\).
