This paper deals with a special class of open queueing networks where a customer cannot visit the same single node twice. This type of queueing networks is called multiphase queueing systems (MQS). More concretely, the paper investigates a class of MQS operating in heavy traffic under the first come first served discipline. The law of the iterated logarithm for the extreme values (i.e. maxima and minima) of the waiting time and the summary waiting time is proved.
