The authors investigate a set of real transforms including the well known Hartley transform. Mixed radix splitting properties of Hartley-type transforms are examined in detail. The matrix algebras diagonalized by Hartley-type matrices are expressed in terms of circulant and \((-1)\) -circulant matrices. Eight Hartley-type fast transforms together with their corresponding Hartley-type algebras are described in a table at the end of this paper.
