    The author studies the space \(E^{d}_{J}(X)\) of configurations of ordered \(n\)-tuples of unordered \(d\)-tuples of points in \(X\). The n-tuples satisfy a set of intersection conditions specified by \(J\). For example one result asserts the natural homotopy equivalence of \(\lim_{d\to \infty}E^{d}_{J}(\mathbb{R}^k)\) and \(\Omega_{0}^{k}\bigcup_{d\geq1}E^{d}_{J}(S^k,\infty)\). Other homotopy equivalences are obtained, some for mod \(p\) truncations of configuration spaces, where multiplicities are reduced mod \(p\).
