Decay estimates for hyperbolic systems (Q1876320)

The authors consider a first order hyperbolic system satisfying some convexity assumptions on eigenvalues of the principal symbol. They study the Sobolev spaces generated by pseudo-differential operators associated with the group of symmetry for such system. In these spaces pointwise a priori estimates of the solutions are established. Some applications to various physical models are also given.
