Pfaffianization of the two-dimensional Toda lattice (Q1876743)

The paper studies the Pfaffianization of the two-dimensional Toda lattice. Using Hirota and Ohta's procedure of Pfaffianization [see \textit{R. Hirota} and \textit{Y. Ohta}, Hierarchies of coupled soliton equations. I, J. Phys. Soc. Japan 60, No. 3, 798--809 (1991)], the authors present a coupled system of the two-dimensional Toda lattice which has solitons in Pfaffian form. Lie-point symmetries of the resulting Pfaffianized two-dimensional Toda lattice are also computed to see when the system of lattice equations possesses other common integrable properties.
