This paper defines a 2-calibrated manifold to be a smooth \(2n+ 1\)-dimensional manifold with a codimension one distribution and a closed 2-form which is nondegenerate on the distribution. By using approximately holomorphic geometry as introducted by S. Donaldson, the authors study submanifolds and foliations of 2-calibrated manifolds.
