The paper presents a quasi-static image model of grounding systems at high frequencies from electromagnetic field theory, applied to a two-layer model of the Earth. This mathematical model is based on the mixed-potential integral equation and involves the numerical solution of some Sommerfeld-type integrals, which require large computer resources. Such type of integral equations depends on a so-called dyadic Green's function of a magnetic vector potential and on a scalar potential Green's function. Both have very complicated expressions. For approximation of the integrals the quasi-static image theory is applied. All these are described empirically, without definitions, without theorems. Some numerical results are presented.
