A method for generating nonstatic exact solutions to the Einstein field equations from known spherically symmetric static solutions is presented. Both shearing and shear-free isotropic models are studied. Generically these nonstatic generalizations admit heat flux. A model of radiative gravitational collapse is also presented as an example of an application of the method.
