The category pro-HTop, the pro-category of the homotopy category of topological spaces is by no means sufficient for defining strong shape. For this purpose one has to take into account \textit{coherent} homotopies of arbitrary high degree. This is well known since more than 30 years. The present author establishes two categories CPHTop and Coh which use special coherence conditions for objects, mappings and homotopies between these morphisms to achieve that purpose. It turns out that there is a full embedding of Coh into CPHTop.
