The author employs Kolmogorov's theorem [\textit{A. Kolmogorov}, Atti. Accad. Naz. Lincei. Rend. 12, No. 9, 388--391 (1930; JFM 56.0198.02)] on the determination of the mean value of a sequence of real values to prove criteria for uniform distribution modulo 1, modulo partitioning, and asymptotic distribution modulo 1 for a sequence of real numbers.
