The author proves a theorem in terms of \(D\)-functions [see \textit{X. D. Ye}, Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 12, 365--376 (1992; Zbl 0738.54019)] which describes the coexistence of points of different dynamical behavior of the mapping \(f\in C(I,I)\), where \(I=[0,1]\).
