The unilateral \({\mathcal I}\)-approximate Dini derivatives of a (general) real function are introduced, as an attempt of extending the (standard) unilateral Dini derivatives. As an argument for their consistency, some (enlarged) versions of the Denjoy-Young-Saks theorem involving such objects are given.
