Let \(X\) be the set of candidates, and let \(V=\{1,\ldots, n\}\) be the set of participants. The paper describes the choice by the information given by a choice function \(C:2^X\setminus 0\to 2^X\) based on the self-concordant choice [see the author's paper in Dokl. Ross. Akad. Nauk, 339, No. 2, 173--176 (1993)]. It is shown that the ordering generated by this method coincides with that of the approval voting rule.
