The Bredon-Illman cohomology is a generalization for topological groups of the Bredon equivariant cohomology theory [\textit{A. Mukherjee} and \textit{G. Mukherjee}, Q. J. Math., Oxf. II. Ser. 47, No.186, 199--219 (1996; Zbl 0858.55005)]. The authors construct a family of Steerod \(\bigcup_i\)-products and obtain the existence of Steenrod squares as well as the triviality of the Gerstenhaber bracket, see [\textit{G. Mukherjee} and \textit{N. Pandey}, Topology Appl. 144, No. 1-3, 51--65 (2004; Zbl 1056.55004)].
