Consider the linear functional-differential equation \[ \dot x(t)=L x_t\tag{*} \] where \(L:C([-r,0],\mathbb{R}^n)\) is a bounded linear map, \(r>0\) and \(x_t(s)=x(s+t),s\in[-r,0]\). It is proved that (*) has no uniform exponential dichotomy.
