The presented paper is a review of the recent publications devoted to the problem of identification of input signals in dynamic systems. The main trends and prospects in the development of methods and algorithms in this area are derived. Approximation methods, recursive and inverse methods, position-control methods, and various algorithms for the identification of input signals are reviewed. As a result, it is shown that there is no predominance of any one group of methods, and that all these methods are theoretically well explored. It is shown that the theory of inverse problems is effectively used in solving problems of restoration of input signals.
