The author gives a sufficient condition for the asymptotic stability of a linear system controlled by a pulse modulator with linear static characteristic. The condition is formulated in terms of the eigenvalues of the linear closed-loop system using the static characteristic along with conditions on the interplay between the transfer function of the uncontrolled system and the pulse modulator.
