Consider a regular weighted mean method in summability with nonnegative weights. The aim of this paper is to prove a Tauberian theorem with necessary and sufficient Tauberian conditions for a larger class of weights than given in an earlier paper by these authors [\textit{F. Móricz} and \textit{B. E. Rhoades}, Acta Math. Hung. 66, 105--111 (1995; Zbl 0833.40004)].
