This paper discusses a modified convergence analysis for solving Fredholm integral equations of the first kind in Hilbert space setting using Tikhonov regularization. Analogous results were published by \textit{H. Yang} and \textit{Z. Hou} [Acta Math. Appl. Sin. 22, No. 2, 251--255 (1999; Zbl 0960.65070)].
