The problems of stability, lower bounds for stability margins and robust stability for three-dimensional systems using the LMI technique are investigated. The LMI approach is generalized to 3D systems which can be easily extended for the \(n\)D systems. The stability and lower bounds for stability margins are discussed for all 3D state space models. The robust stability of uncertain systems is also investigated. A numerical example is provided to highlight the developed techniques.
