Kirwan map and moduli space of flat connections (Q1884473)

In this formally written paper the author studies the moduli space of flat connections. He compares results obtained in two approaches, i.e., Bott-Tolman-Weitsman approach and universal bundle approach. The author shows that the set of cohomology classes obtained in the universal bundle method gives the correct set of multiplicative generators for the cohomology of the moduli space. The results are obtained for the group SU\((n)\).
