This paper employs the renormalization group method to study the asymptotic behaviour of solutions of the potential flows of a compressible viscous fluid at small Reynolds number when the Mach number tends to zero in a suitable scaling. Also, it is studied the global existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the renormalization group equation derived therein. Finally, a comparison is made between the exact and asymptotic solutions.
