The author gives a readable condition ensuring that a quasilinear elliptic equation in \(\mathbb R^N\) has infinitely many \(W^{2,p}\) solutions for generic right-hand side terms. The departure point is an abstract result and then the abstract result is translated in more concrete conditions. An estimate of the size of critical points for nonlinear Schrödinger operator and the real analyticity of Nemitskii operators are also investigated
