The author obtains a generalization of results of \textit{L. Guijarro} and \textit{P. Petersen} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér., IV. Sér. 30, 595--603 (1997; Zbl 1008.53042)]. Let \(M\) be an open complete Riemannian manifold with nonnegative sectional curvature. If there is a positive constant \(D\) such that the diameter growth is \(\leq D\), then \(M\) is diffeomorphic to \(\mathbb{R}^n\).
