The author is interested in interpolating two classical fluid motions according to some hyperbolic evolution PDE. He notes that in the 2D case, a convenient set of such PDEs can be deduced from Born-Infeld theory of eletromagnetism. In the 3D case he notes that, as the parameter \(\lambda\) of the Born-Infeld equations goes to zero the Born-Infeld equations provide a solution for the interpolation problem.
