The goal is to study the Chapman-Enskog projection for the Boltzmann-Peierls equation taking as example the nonlinear diffusion phenomenon and the so-called second sound speed for heat transfer in dielectrics at low temperatures. The method of momenta approximation is applied to derive the dispersion equation. A regular expansion applied to the Chapman-Enskog projection allows the authors to tell about possible quantization. General properties of the diffusion mode are investigated.
