The referred book deals with the systems of decision-making supported by information systems as it is practiced in organizations and corporations. The main and almost exclusive attention is focused on the structure of relations among decision activities and information or knowledge sources, represented by relational digrams. Attention is paid to the discussion and interpretation of the analyzed structures which are verbaly studied without essential mathematical tools. The main conclusions regard the management of information and knowledge in the decision-making systems. The book is organized in four main parts, each of which is divided in several sections. Three of the parts are oriented to the survey of decision support systems, learning organizations, and new directions of research in the considered fields. One part offers invited contributions on new views on the topic, computational solutions, corporate information factory, and strategic or competitive aspects. The references are distributed to particular sections.
