Explorative and dynamic visualization of data in virtual reality (Q1887240)

A software system for visual data mining in virtual reality (VR) is considered. It consists of a general software system for creating VR applications, namely VR++, and a system 3DVDM which uses VR++ to implement methods of visual data exploration in VR. The architecture of these software systems and their abilities are described. E.g., the 3DVDM system supports such dynamic features of object ``vibrati.on'' as amplitude, frequency and phase. So, in 3D it adds 9 new ``coordinates'' for the representation of object variables. Results of experiments with these new features are described.
