The author presents a new convergence criterion for modified Ishikawa and of Mann iterative sequences with errors for finding fixed points of almost asymptotically nonexpansive operators. These results unify, improve and generalize some results given by \textit{S.-S. Zhang} [Appl. Math. Mech., Engl. Ed. 22, 25--34 (2001; Zbl 0992.47034)].
